Homeless

Another night of
despair and fighting.
We do not have the
right words to
communicate with
each other and
so cannot
understand the
other's problems.
I wish I lived anywhere
but here
tonight, as home is
where the
heart is.
My heart has
no place
to live
here.

  1. I found this moved me as my first thought when given the prompt of - home is where the heart is - was about home being a safe haven - and then you show the other side. A side I just simply had not thought of. Cheers, Wendy.

  2. Wow, quite powerful and revealing to me. I've been here before, I struggled with this when my mother and I moved out to California. In interesting way to start my morning, but in a good reflection way. Thanks for sharing!

  3. I agree, powerful and, sad. Sometimes when you cannot find the words, all is soon lost, too.

  11. How sad. And right after Labor Day, so close to 9/11. Poignant, but sad...seems to fit with the times though.

  13. You put this across in a way that speaks to anyone who has ever not been able to -
    "have the
    right words to
    communicate with
    each other "

    Nice writing.

  15. Heart wrenchingly sad-
    'My heart has
    no place
    to live
    here.'

  16. This is powerfully expressed - the heart with no place to live, in a home of discord. I have most certainly been there, more than once. So well written. Keep writing - and may your heart soon find its place to live!
